Everything You Need to Know

Your Timeline

Every student moves at their own pace: how often you fly and how quickly things click both play a role. Here's a general guide to what to expect.

  • Private Pilot — 40 hours minimum
  • Instrument Rating — an additional 40 hours minimum
  • Commercial License — 250 hours minimum
  • Multi-Engine Rating — 5–10 hours

What to Expect

  • A dedicated Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) guiding every step.
  • Flight lessons 2–3 times per week.
  • Roughly 2 hours of ground study for every hour flown, preparing you for your FAA exams.

  • Discovery Flight — $200
  • Private Pilot — $8,000–$12,000
  • Instrument Rating — $6,500–$9,500
